Letitia Wright is definitely a talent to watch.
The actress won over legions of fans with her turns in both Black Mirror and Black Panther. She’s open, funny, and just iconic. We can’t wait to see where her career will go next.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like it would take a turn into a good ol’ fashion murder mystery. Wright has been tapped to star in Death on the Nile, the sequel to 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express.
The film, which is slated for a 2020 release, will see Kenneth Branagh return as Hercule Poirot, master detective. He will also direct the film. The story, taken from the Agatha Christie novel of the same name, will follow Poirot as he solves the murder of a heiress on vacation in Egypt.
Wright will play Rosalie Otterbourne, a lead suspect in the case. She joins a cast that includes Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Armie Hammer (On the Basis of Sex).
Wright has been selective about the roles she has taken following her rise to super stardom. She had a minor part in the Donald Glover short film, Guava Island. Her upcoming roles sound amazingly interesting. Wright will star beside John Boyega (Star Wars) in Hold Back The Stars and the English-language version of French hit Le Brio.
Death of the Nile will be released on October 2nd, 2020.
