It looks like AMC will be down a show by the end of this year.
After delivering three incredibly epic seasons, the action-packed hit drama Preacher will be saying its last rites as it will be ending its run after its upcoming fourth season, which will premiere on Sunday August 4.
Seth Rogen, the executive producer of the series, shared the news on Monday via Twitter, confirming the show’s end.

The hit series, which made its debut back in May 2016, received the renewal for the fourth season in November. It also saw a change in its production location as it was relocated to Australia.
“Preacher is a show unlike any other on television. A passionate base of fans found their way to Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy and have followed along with their adventures, at times indescribable adventures, for three seasons,” said David Madden, president of programming for AMC Networks said at the time of the renewal. “We are thankful to our partners at Sony and to Seth, Evan and Sam for everything they have brought to this series, which we are pleased to renew for a fourth season. Like the superfans of Preacher, we can’t wait to see where this journey leads next.”
Preacher followed the story of Jesse Custer (played by Dominic Cooper), a laconic preacher in rural Texas who finds himself possessed by a supernatural force and locked in an epic battle of good versus evil. Joining Cutter are his girlfriend Tulip (played by Ruth Negga), and the Irish vampire Cassidy (played by Joseph Gilgun).
