Noah Centineo is coming back to Netflix with another teen romcom to make us all swoon.
In the trailer for Netflix’s The Perfect Date, Centineo plays Brooks Rattigan, who has been working to pay for college with minimum wage jobs while envying those who “have it made”. An opportunity presents itself when he volunteers to take a customer’s cousin to prom in exchange for a promised payment. When Celia Lieberman (Laura Marano) says that Brooks should do this more often, as people nee dates to this sort of thing, he starts an app called The Stand-In.
Users can request which type of guy they want him to be for their ultimate date experience. Of course, then the inevitable identity crisis kicks in. Plus he realizes that while he may have wanted the nice lifestyle and the unattainable Shelby Pace (Camila Mendes), it may not live up to his expectations. In fact, it may be Celia that he wants all along.
The Perfect Date was directed by Christopher Nelson (My Dead Ex) and written by Steve Bloom and Randall Green. Also starring in the film are Trinket‘s Odiseas Georgiadis and Veep‘s Matt Walsh
