Avengers: Endgame is a month away. We’re aren’t emotionally ready for it.
Yet we need to see it.
The film represents the culmination of over a decade of work with 22 films leading up to the epic conclusion. We don’t know what the MCU will look like post-Endgame, but it will not be the same with some major exits from the franchise.
One of them is Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America. Playing the role since 2011, Evans will make his seventh and final major appearance as the character in Endgame.
Over the years of playing the character, you have to wonder what was Evans’ fave scene as Cap? Well answering fan questions with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor gave a very clear answer.
That badass elevator fight scene from 2014’s Captain America: Civil War, which you can watch below.
Evans said, “I’m partial to that fight scene in the elevator. That was the first scene in the second Captain America movie. It was my first time working with the Russos. It was the first time where it felt like Cap was on his own. The first Cap movie, you really feel like everyone was holding my hand. The first Avengers movie I just did my best not to get in the way. The second Cap movie is the one where I really felt, I suppose pressure, and that first elevator fight scene came out really great in my opinion.”
I think it’s safe to say that Evans nailed it.
Avengers: Endgame will be released on April 26th.
