The Charmed reboot is about to shake things up when it comes to its whitelighters.
The latest news in the Charmed universe is another whitelighter is coming to help the sisters. It was announced this week that Chloe Bridges is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of the freshman series.
Bridges is best known for her turn on Pretty Little Liars as Sydney Driscoll. Additonally, she has also appeared on Netflix’s Insatiable (as Roxy Buckley), VH1’s Daytime Divas (as Kibby Ainsley), MTV’s Faking It (as Zita Cruz), The CW’s The Carrie Diaries (as Donna LaDonna) and 90210 (as Alexis), and ABC’s Freddie (as Zoey).
Bridges will play Tessa, who is apparently a very by-the-book, no-sense Whitelighter who comes to the ladies’ aide when their current whitelighter Harry “mysteriously disappears.” Unfortunately for the ladies, Tessa turns out to be a “total hardass” and also “decidedly unimpressed the sisters’ abilities, and not afraid to be snarky about their shortcomings.” Ouch.
Maggie, Macy, and Mel will be in for quite the reality check and culture shock with Tessa joining their group. Harry, for the most part, nurtures their powers and understands they are newbies to the world of witchcraft. From the looks of things, it doesn’t appear that Tessa will be as lenient nor forgiving when it comes to their mistakes.
Hope the Charmed ones are ready to face this whitelighter. Tessa may be more than they have bargained for and probably worst than a demon to face!
Charmed airs on Sunday nights on The CW.
