We don’t know if Sebastian Stan or Anthony Mackie will take up the Captain America mantle following Chris Evans’ exit from the MCU.

That being said, one of them will take over a role for Evans.

According to Variety, Sebastian Stan will replace Chris Evans in the Netflix thriller The Devil All The Time. Evans had to depart due to scheduling conflicts.

Stan will be reunited with his favorite person in the world, Tom Holland. Rounding out the cast is Jason Clarke, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Pattinson, Riley Keough, and Bill Skarsgard.

The film is based off the 2011 novel by Donald Ray Pollock of the same name. It’s set in the fictional town of Knockemstiff, Ohio across two decades. The film “centers on a bullied kid who becomes a man who knows when to take action, a serial killer couple, a faith-testing preacher, and a corrupt local sheriff.”

Antonio Campos (Christine, The Sinner) will direct and co-wrote the film with Paul Campos.

Currently, there’s no release date for the project. Though it does sound pretty interesting if you’re looking for a thriller to pick up at the bookstore.

Evans (and possibly Stan) will appear in Avengers: Endgame which will be released on April 26th.
