The Twilight Zone came along a deeply political time in American history. Using the science fiction elements of the series, Rod Serling and his writers were able to explore complex issues such as race, facisim, belief, death, fear, and more.
Needless to say when Get Out writer-director Jordan Peele was given the chance to reboot The Twilight Zone? It was a very exciting time. The anthology show’s return on CBS All Access has gathered an all-star cast with Peele returning to television in order to host the series.
The show is slated for release in 2019. In order to get audiences ready for it, the first trailer dropped today.
And it is spine-chilling in the best way possible. It both captures the eeriness of the classic Twilight Zone while showing that it is its own thing.
While we see some of the famous faces that will appear in the series, such as Jacob Tremblay, Adam Scott, Sanaa Lathan, and Kumail Nanjiani, the moment that made us freak out was seeing Peele rocking a suit that would make Rod Serling proud.
Plus the atmosphere in the trailer? Hell yeah.
Check out the trailer below.
The Twilight Zone will premiere on Monday, April 1st with a two part premiere before releasing its weekly installments on Thursday, April 11th on CBS All Access.
