While many of us are still trying to process the events that transpired in American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Ryan Murphy is already thinking ahead and dropping little hints about the next installment of the hit horror anthology.
On Wednesday, Murphy took to Instagram to share some casting news. Murphy revealed that Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy will appear in the next installment of AHS as the boyfriend of Emma Roberts. This will mark the debut of Kenworthy in the series.
While Kenworthy’s addition to the cast is quite surprising, Murphy dropped another gem in revealing Kenworthy joining the series with confirming Emma Roberts’ return to the drama. Roberts hadn’t been confirmed to return just yet but with this news, it looks like fans have at least one very sassy character to look forward to. This marks Roberts’ fourth appearance in the anthology. She has previously appeared in Coven, Freak Show, Cult, and Apocalypse.
At this time, not much else is known about the upcoming season of American Horror Story. This has been the first bit of casting news announced. As far as when the series will start production, it will most likely be this summer, with the show premiering sometime likely in the fall as unusual.
Apocalypse was one of the strongest outings the anthology has had so far so here’s hoping the next installment is just as great.
