After waiting for months, the day has finally come and we now know when Game of Thrones will return with its final season.
So, take your calendars out and mark Sunday, April 14th as the day of days!
Fans of the very popular HBO show not only got a date they could anticipate, though. Along with it, HBO released a proper teaser trailer for the upcoming season and announced the date at the end of it.
In the teaser, we can see Jon (Kit Harington), Sansa (Sophie Turner), and Arya (Maisie Williams) walking along the halls of the crypt in Winterfell, passing the statues of Lyanna, Ned and Catelyn Stark. While doing so, we can hear whispers of the characters’ from previous seasons about each of the family members.
The three Starks finally stop in front of statues that resemble themselves, which obviously leaves us asking if it is foreshadowing their fate. Then again, it would be too obvious so maybe just one of them will die or none of them at all. We never really know when it comes to Game of Thrones.
They are interrupted when they notice a feather is getting covered by ice, as an icy fog is making its way towards them. They are clearly alarmed, and Jon and Arya draw their swords. Obviously, we all know what that means:
Winter is here!
The teaser truly is not long at all and yet it is really exciting for fans all over the world, who are anticipating the final season, as it is yet unclear who will win the game of thrones and who will lose!
Thankfully, we will be able to find out in just three months. It also gives us enough time to rewatch the first seven seasons and speculate even more who will sit on the iron throne at the end.
