What We Do In The Shadows has a television series coming out this year! Based on the indie hit of the same name from Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, the series has the same premise as the film.
Rather than following three vampire roommates in New Zealand, it follows a group of vampires living in New York and their misadventures therein. Based on what we’ve seen of it, it looks pretty similar in style and tone to the movie.
Needless to say, we’re expecting a lot of dry humor and vampire jokes.
The latest teaser for the project also gives us an idea of when we’ll see the series premiere on FX, which is March 2019. In it, one of the vampires is celebrating his birthday, complete with cake and candles. He’s having some issues blowing it out.
We currently don’t have a release date for the project. March has 31 days, however, so we’re guessing it’s one of them. Given the proximity to the release, we’ll get a date sooner rather than lter.
What We Do In The Shadows stars Matt Berry (The I.T. Crowd) as Laszlo, Kayvan Novak (Thunderbirds Are Go) as Nandor, Harvey Guillen (Eye Candy) as Guillermo, and Natasia Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats) as Nadja.
The series will debut sometime in March 2019.
