The World’s Best Boss Is Back: Steve Carell Is Set To Star In Space Force

Ever since The Office, we know and love Steve Carell as crazy, yet beloved Michael Scott, general manager of Dunder Mifflin Scranton. Though the actor is much more than that and since then, he took on more serious roles in movies like Foxcatcher and Last Flag Flying. Carell was even nominated for an Academy Award for his phenomenal performance in Foxcatcher.

While we love to see Carell take on more serious roles, we also miss him being a bit funnier. However, it looks like we won’t have to for much longer, as he will be back in the comedy department very soon!

Netflix has announced that Carell will team up with none other than Greg Daniels, former executive producer of The Office. In addition, Howard Klein, who has also worked with them on The Office, will join them as an executive producer as well.

Carell and Daniels have created Space Force for the streaming service. It is a new workplace comedy show and yes, it is no coincidence that the title of their new comedy is called as the 6th division of the US armed forces that President Trump wants to create.

In Netflix’s announcement video, they refer to his announcement and while one might think, the upcoming show will be set in space, the opposite actually might be the case.

Space Force will be about the men and women who have to figure out what the space force might actually look like and what its aim is going to be. A task that is most likely very challenging and yet hilarious at the same time.

Steve Carell not only created the show, but he will also star in Space Force!

I guess he has to dig out his “World’s Best Boss” mug once more and manage another branch.

Check out the announcement video below and tell us in the comments what you’re looking forward to when Space Force will premiere on Netflix.
