The 2019 Oscar Nominations Are Out: Black Panther, Roma, And The Favourite Lead The Pack

It’s almost time for one of our favourite nights of the year, Oscar night. Deemed one of Hollywood’s most important nights as far as awards season goes, the Oscars celebrate the best in cinema. We may be weeks away until we get to enjoy the fabulous red carpet and the show,  luckily, the 91st Academy Award nominations have been announced.

The folks in the West Coast  got an early start as the nominations for all 24 categories were announced from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Split over a two-part live news conference, actor Kumail Nanjiani and actress Tracee Ellis Ross announced the best in filmmaking over the past year.

Did the Academy pile the love on for A Star Is Born?  Is this the year the comic book genre gets some Oscar love? Will we see more diversity?
