Will Lucifer Be Tempted By His First Love Eve In Season Four?

It’s safe to say that Lucifer (Tom Ellis) knows the most about temptation out of anyone in the history of the universe. After all, who knows it better than the Devil himself?

While he is retired (mostly) and in a strange place with Chloe (Lauren German), who can make him vulnerable, it’s the perfect time for his ex to show up in the picture.

In a first look at the fourth season from TVLine, we see Lucifer with said ex, Eve (Inbar Lavi). Yes, we’re tlking about the Biblical Eve.

Talking with Ellis and German, the two teased just how Eve will shake things up. It looks like she’s coming when Lucifer is feeling some weighty emotional vulnerability.

“Lucifer is in a very vulnerable moment, emotionally — not that he would ever recognize that — when out of nowhere, Eve turns up,” Ellis said. Eve’s return also reminds Lucifer of past times. She “brings back so much for Lucifer, about the man he used to be — or, the Devil he used to be. She’s never forgotten about him. And she loves him.”

While it remains to be seen how Chloe will handle things (both the reveal and Lucifer’s ex showing up), German only has good things to say about Lavi’s performance.

“Inbar plays Eve so uniquely, and well…. She just brings a whole new vibe to the show. She has this ethereal and light and sensual energy.”

Lucifer will debut its fourth season on its new Netflix home in 2019.
