First Look Photos Released For Killing Eve’s Second Season

I bet that when you woke up this morning you didn’t think you’d be getting brand new footage of Killing Eve season two. And yet, here we are.

Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer took the world (and our hearts) by storm earlier this year as the tough-as-nails MI5 Agent Eve Polastri and the notorious assassin Villanelle respectively. The series is helmed by Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge and based on the Codename Villanelle novels by Luke Jennings.

The first season, encompassing eight episodes, premiered in April on BBC America and Killing Eve has since spiraled into a global phenomenon, earning several awards nominations including The Emmy Awards, Critic’s Choice Awards and the Golden Globes.

There hasn’t been an official air date for season two of the series announced, as they have just finished production a few days ago, but a spring premiere is to be expected.

Nonetheless Entertainment Weekly has a little something to get you through those dark winter days without Villaneve in your lives. They have released a bundle of exclusive First Look images and, believe it or not, they include a naked Sandra Oh!

Take a look at the images below.

In the season one finale of Killing Eve, Eve and her favorite assassin finally came face-to-face. As Villanelle tried to shoot Eve, the other woman stabbed her – a move that will have consequences.

“Eve has done something, which may have changed her forever, that will have repercussions with every relationship in her life,” teased executive producer Emerald Fennell. “It’s a ripple effect that both of them have experienced.”

And that central relationship between Eve and Villanelle will be further explored in season two, and, as Oh claims, will “progress and deepen”.

The newly released images show both Eve (in the bath) and Villanelle (in the streets, nursing her wounds) clearly recovering from their ordeal. However, we also see Villanelle in action, likely spying on the one who got away (Eve).

Another fan favorite makes an appearance – MI5 boss Carolyn Martens (the extraordinary Fiona Shaw) will be back for duty in season two.

Have these first images for season two of Killing Eve gotten you all tingly and excited? Share your love in the comments and let us know what you’re most looking forward to.
