The premier of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is nearly here and especially when the last trailer was released, we got even more excited for the upcoming movie and the adventures we will witness in the wizarding world.
Besides the witches and wizard that we began to adore in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, who will return for the upcoming movie, we also found out that none other than Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) would make an appearance too.
In the last trailer, we also saw another familiar face: Nagini. Although she did not look as familiar as one would expect, as we will get to know Voldemort’s loyal snake in her human form, as she will be played by Claudia Kim.
It seems as if they are not the only ones from the Harry Potter series who will make an appearance in the Fantastic Beasts movies.
As PopCulture.com reported, we will also see a younger version of Minerva McGonagall in Hogwarts!
When Warner Bros. released the full cast list, it was revealed that Fiona Glascott would step into the shoes of Dame Maggie Smith and bring Professor McGonagall back to Hogwarts.
It does leave the question though, when we are going to see her, as she was technically born in 1935 and, thus, does not attend Hogwarts before 1947. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will take place shortly after the end of the first movie in 1926.
So, we will most likely see her in a flash forward and probably already as a young teacher in Hogwarts, otherwise the timeline of the movie would not be canon anymore, which is unlikely to happen, at least in my opinion.
Thankfully, we only have to wait a few more days, as Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will hit theaters on November 16th.
