The Flash season five is only weeks away. Unlike the last season, we’re actually excited about the villain, the new characters, and some pretty messy family dynamics.
While Joe (Jesse L Martin) and Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) adjust to being new parents (with grown kids), Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) have t adjust to being parents to someone around their age in Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy). Technically, Nora is there daughter from the future, but, as the Legends and Barry will tell you, time travel is messy af.
One thing that we do know is that Nora will have kind of an insta-bud relationship with Barry while she’ll be chillier to Iris. So why is that?
Talking with TVLine, neither Kennedy or Patton delved into why there was such a tension in the air between them.
As Kennedy said, “Nora’s really keen, and she wants to make her dad really happy. Her mom is not on the radar in the same way.”
We’ve honestly been seeing that echoed throughout the summer. Still, the question is why?
Patton pretty much reiterated what Kennedy said. Though she added that things may not be great with Barry because the feelings.
“It’s really hard. t’s a point of contention for her and Barry. She feels a little jealous, but at the same time really confused, and yet also happy for Barry, so….”
Yikes, that doesn’t sound great. Happily, this mystery will definitely be something to unravel as the season goes on. Honestly, with a storyline like that, you would definitely have to unravel it.
The Flash season five premieres on Tuesday, October 9th at 8/7c on the CW.
