The DC Film Universe is a bit of chaos. Again.
With the news that Henry Cavill is reportedly out as Superman after three movies, many people are wondering if Ben Affleck will shortly join him. Rumors have swirled for years over Affleck’s exit from the role of Bruce Wayne or Warner Brothers wanting to oust him from the role.
Nothing, however, has happened yet. Officially, anyway.
That doesn’t meant that someone isn’t interested in stepping into the cape and cowl.
Jon Hamm, best known for his role as Don Draper on AMC’s Mad Men, has made his interest in the role clear. Of course, it needs to be the right script for him.
In an interview with In Depth, Hamm said “It depends on the script, what the story is. I am a huge comic book fan, always have been. I’ve read comic books since I was 9 or younger. And I’m pretty knowledgeable about a lot of them. And I like the genre, and I like when they’re done well.”
He also added that he’s the only one talking about taking such a role.
“I have never had a conversation with anybody about it, literally. And I’ve sat in the room with all these guys. I have never been offered anything. I think the internet wants what it wants. But, I mean, a lot of people have to sign off on that, obviously not just the internet.”
Honestly, we are here for Jon Hamm donning the suit. Just shake everything up!
