Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald Drops Its Final Trailer And Character Posters

Credit: Warner Brothers

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a little under two months away from premiering. The anticipated sequel to 2015’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has definitely got fans chattering for good and for ill (mainly because of Johnny Depp’s continued involvement as Gellert Grindelwald following numerous disturbing accusations).

Still the film is coming. Overall, we here at 4YE who are very happy Potterheads are excited to see the finished film. Now we have the final trailer.

Can we just say? We have chills. It’s clear that J.K. Rowling is getting that more adult tone that she promised in the future films of the franchise.

The trailer was dropped this morning and you can watch it below.

In addition to the trailer, we also have some character posters below. It looks like we’re learning a bit more about the film in them. Why is Leta Lestrange (Zoe Kravitz) implicated by a prophecy? Why is Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) wanted for questioning? Why are Queenie Goldstein’s (Alison Sudol) whereabouts unknown?! Did someone hurt her?! Is she okay?!

And how, how, is Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler) back in the know about magic? Not that we’re complaining. We love the guy.

Though we’re not surprised that Dumbledore (Jude Law) is under surveillance. Like after the events of Harry Potter that is the least surprising thing ever, to be honest.

Anyway, puzzle over these posters below.
