Adonis Creed Has To “Fight For His Destiny” In The Latest Creed II Trailer

It’s honestly a travesty that 2015’s Creed did not get award nominations come award season.

While Sylvester Stallone did get recognized for his excellent work on the film, Ryan Coogler’s directing, Michael B. Jordan’s performance definitely deserved their own nominations.

In the latest trailer for Creed II, Jordan definitely brings the emotional weight again. (Between this and Killmonger, he is freaking killing it this year.)

And this trailer is definitely doubling down on the Rocky IV nostalgia. It’s Creed vs Drago. Will Adonis Creed (Jordan) be able to defeat Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), the son of Ivan (Dolph Lundgren) in the ring? Remember the last time it was Creed vs Dragon, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) did not survive the match.

Needless to say, it’s definitely doubling the stakes. Steven Caple Jr, who directed the film from a script by Stallone, already makes us feel the weight in the trailer.

Check it out below.

Creed II hits theatres November 21st.
