The fact that someone is dealing with demonic possession in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina should not surprise anyone. We wouldn’t be surprised if Riverdale spent a season trying to exorcise Jughead.
A possession in Sabrina? It honestly sounds pretty tame, given how crazy things are sure to get.
In the upcoming first season of this rebooted Sabrina, there will be an episode based on The Exorcist. We hope that the pea soup is optional.
According to series showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, each episode will be its own mini-movie. It sounds like we should definitely expect more movie homages this first seasons.
He didn’t give much details on The Exorcist inspired episode.
He said,” I love The Exorcist. It’s one of my favorite movies. We’re doing an homage to that; we’re doing an episode that’s like [The Exorcist].”
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina follows 16-year-old Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka), who wrestles between her human and witch heritages. Soon she will have to make a decision to choose between humanity – including her boy friend Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch) – and her powers.
The series drops on Netflix on October 26th.
