Summer may be winding down, but fall movie season is winding up! While many promising new films are on the horizon, I, personally, am particularly excited about A Star is Born.
Through the photos and the issue, we learn more about the film. Directed by Bradley Cooper, this year’s movie marks the third remake of the 1937 classic. The plot seems to be in line with the others, as well. The film follows musician Jackson, played by Cooper, and struggling songwriter Ally, played by Lady Gaga, through their careers and tumultuous personal relationship.
The pair discuss their first meeting together and the “instant chemistry” they had around Gaga’s piano. It was during that very meeting that Gaga realized Cooper could sing, and that they wanted to make this movie together.
They also talk about the decision to perform and sing all the music live. The decision to do so was made by Cooper, and the performances featured in the film were shot live at music festivals.
“I was so excited that he wanted to do all of the music live,” Gaga said. “It was a dream come true.”
A dream come true, indeed. What a time to be alive, my friends! I am anxiously awaiting a soundtrack release date and October 5. Until then, I’ll keep watching the trailer on a loop.
