SDCC 2018: The Deadpool 2 Cast Had Hall H In Stitches

I think there were many of us a little confused about why there was a Deadpool 2 movie on the schedule for Saturday when the film had already been released. That’s because we never thought of the obvious reason.

There is an extended cut of Deadpool 2 aka the “Super Duper $@%!#& Cut.”

You knew the panel was going to be hilarious when Karan Soni, who plays Dopinder in the Deadpool films, took the stage as the moderator.

Ryan Reynolds is extremely popular at the panel and has everyone, including children (should children be watching this film?), lining up to talk to basically the real life Deadpool.

One of my favourite moments was a little girl, who was asking a question, told the cast off for talking while she was trying to ask the question. She then called Deadpool Lady Deadpool. Reynolds said he loved her and so did the rest of the audience.

New fan favourite Zazie Beetz was also on the panel. It turns out she didn’t get her role until her last screen test with Reynolds. Their chemistry was undeniable and there was no question after that who was going to play Domino.

Another fan asked the daring question of which film Reynolds thought was worse X-Men: Origins or Green Lantern and, well…let’s let Reynolds answer that one himself:

Throughout the fan questions, some of the extended and deleted scenes from the extended cut are shown.

The first clip shown was an extended version of the opening scene where he kicks some ass in Hong Kong and the next is a deleted scene from when Deadpool lives in the X-Men mansion.

After that is an extended scene from in the car with Dopinder, Deadpool, Domino, and Cable (Josh Brolin). Finally, we end with an extended version of the post credits scene where Deadpool finds himself in Germany in 1889 where he’s debating whether or not to kill baby Hitler.

Sorry we couldn’t go into too much detail on these scenes – in proper Deadpool fashion they’re all a little too inappropriate to write out here.

The extended edition of Deadpool 2 will be on the DVD that will be released on August 28.
