San Diego Comic Con brought us quite the variety of shows and films for this year’s convention. Among the shows featured was Better Call Saul, the critically acclaimed spinoff prequel to Breaking Bad.

For those who need a refresher about the series, Better Call Saul follows the story of con-man turned small-time lawyer, Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), six years before the events of Breaking Bad, showing his transformation into the persona of criminal-for-hire Saul Goodman. Jimmy becomes the lawyer of former beat cop Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), whose relevant skill set allows him to enter the criminal underworld of drug trafficking in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Breaking Bad was also there as a celebration of sorts for an anniversary special as the alums from the hit series took a stroll down memory lane on Thursday.

The cast of Better Call Saul – Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian and Michael Mando, along with executive producers and showrunners Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould were also in attendance and took the time to sit down and discuss some of the show’s major events of the past few seasons and some things we can expect in the upcoming season. One of the main things discussed was how everyone is dealing with Chuck McGill’s death (played by Michael McKean) and how they will move on from it, especially Jimmy. They also touched upon how much Breaking Bad has influenced their show and what they hope to accomplish with the spinoff in the future.

Check out the press conference audio below as the cast gets into the nitty gritty of the things and breakdown what to expect.

Fans were also treated to a new trailer for the upcoming season, which looks pretty intense.

The Emmy-nominated series returns for its fourth season on Monday, August 6 at 9pm ET/PT.
