San Diego Comic Con is just around the corner with less than a month to go until the convention starts, and each day so far has been bringing some news as far as what to expect at this year’s event.

So far, the news has been bittersweet as far as panels are concerned with some of the major players pulling out of this year’s con (here’s looking at you, HBO and Marvel Studios). Today’s news, though, is one that could possibly be the biggest thing to happen during the convention.

It is being reported that the upcoming sequel to Wonder Woman, titled Wonder Woman 1984, may be one of the panels at the convention. According to Deadline, a surprise appearance at Comic-Con by Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot looks likely to happen. Plans are still being finalized as of this date, but if this comes to fruition, fans of the film series will definitely be in for quite the treat.

If the panel does happen, it is being rumoured that Gadot will not be the only one in attendance; the cast of the sequel would also be joining her and those in attendance will be amongst the first to get a look at the film, currently in production.

DC will definitely have a lot showing at SDCC, even if this panel doesn’t get to happen. Already scheduled is the first trailer of Aquaman, per director James Wan last week, and it’s also seems likely  that DC’s Shazam! will be in attendance as well. Here’s hoping that Gadot and company do get to stop by as Gadot always delights whenever she makes an appearance at SDCC.

Wonder Woman 1984 is currently set to be released on November 1, 2019, just in time for the holidays.
