It’s always nice when you see co-stars reunite for a project. Now whether or not this builds upon the whole, the cast are all friends narrative most films push is up for debate. Still, working together with a person again, it usually means that they should like each other a bit.
And honestly? Who doesn’t like the Rock or Gal Gadot? Sure, the chances we’ll see Black Adam and Wonder Woman team-up in the DC film universe is slim. We might as well get what we can out of it.
According to Deadline, Gadot has joined the cast of Red Notice. Plot details are being kept under-wraps but the project is described as “a globe-trotting, action-comedy, heist thriller designed as a three-hander between Johnson, Gadot and another male star who’ll soon be set”. Gadot will play a brilliant and mysterious figure in the art world.
The film was written and directed by Central Intelligence and Skyscraper (both starring Johnson) director, Rawson Marshall Thurber. Thurber flew out to the UK to pitch Gadot, who is to begin production on Wonder Woman 2, the role. It also marks her first confirmed starring role since busting onto the A-list in 2017’s Wonder Woman.
It also marks a reunion for Gadot and Johnson who both were in Fast Five together.
Red Notice doesn’t have a release date. Skyscraper will be out July 13th and Wonder Woman 2 hits theatres t in 2019.
