Amazon Studios Has Been Talking About Saving Lucifer

Ever since Fox cut a rampage before Upfronts, which led to the cancellation of fan-favorite Lucifer, fans and cast members alike have been trying to get it picked up.

With #SaveLucifer and #pickuplucifer as fire to the flames, Warner Brothers Television along with showrunner Joe Henderson have been trying to find anyone who would save the show. Something needs to happen soon because the final date to save the show is June 16th. (That’s when the actors are free to audition for and work on other projects.)

In an interview with Deadline, Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke has given some hope to Lucifans.

“We were talking about Lucifer. I’m not sure where we are on that. I know that international, especially the UK group, was really bullish on that show, I haven’t checked in on that today (Thursday), but I heard conversations were ongoing on that yesterday.”

Despite consistent yet low ratings in the US, Lucifer has amassed an audience worldwide. It also led to a pretty big cliffhanger with the season three finale where Chole Decker (Lauren German) finally saw Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) “devil face” finally confirming that yes he is actually the Devil.

If the decision goes one way or the other, then hopefully we’ll get news on that within the next couple of days.

Recently, Amazon has saved the recently cancelled Syfy series The Expanse.

In the US, you can stream old episodes of the series on Hulu. Fingers crossed though that series gets a save.
