The Hero of Harlem is back in the newest trailer for season two of Luke Cage.

Oh boy, things are mostly certainly intensifying in Harlem. In a newly released trailer, which offers audiences their best look yet at the second season, it looks like Luke has been busy after the events of 2017’s The Defenders.

Luke (Mike Colter) seems to have definitely set up shop and embraced his heroic reputation within his community. Unfortunately, he’s not the only enhanced individual with an interest in Harlem’s future. Enter one John McIver (Mustafa Shakir), also known to comic book fans as the Bushmaster, and one of Cage’s most recognizable villains and perhaps one of the few that can go toe to toe with the hero.

Lucky for Luke, he’s not the only one alone in this fight. Misty Knight (Simone Missick) joins him on the streets complete with her new bionic arm.

Over the trailer, we also hear the words of James Lucas (the late Reg E. Cathy), Cage’s father.

“The darkness that you deal with every day, it can consume you whole if you let it. Don’t let it.”

Check out the trailer below.

Luke Cage hits Netflix on June 22nd.
