If you were one of the many fans of Darren Criss and Lea Michele who either missed out on the first round of LM/DC Tour tickets or they weren’t coming to a city near you, do not fear, you may still have a chance yet. Yesterday (May 7) the pair took to social media to announce the next leg of their tour.
While they are still currently sticking to the eastern part of the US, they are keeping with the tour’s previous cities with the five new stops covering a wide area that is often overlooked in tours of this kind ensuring that as many fans as possible can experience seeing their idols in concert. These new dates will take in Chicago, St Louis, Atlanta, and for a first for both stars, North Carolina’s Durham and Charlotte.

And that’s not all the new Darren news. No Australian fans can finally see the actor/singer/songwriter live in an intimate concert in Sydney next week. Surprising everyone, it was announced earlier today (lunchtime Sydney time) that Criss would be coming to Sydney next week to promote the May 24 premiere of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story on Foxtel.
While in Sydney Criss will play a one-off intimate gig at Darlinghurst’s Eternity Playhouse next Friday May 18. Accompanied by a string quartet, Criss is set to present a kaleidoscope of pop hits and musical theatre staples in what sounds to be a similar gig as his recent acoustic London concert at St Pancras New Church. This is certainly an unexpected treat for Australian fans who have long wished for the former Glee star and Starkid to visit down under.
“Darren Criss is an extraordinary performer and I am excited that Australian audiences will get a taste of his talents at this very special one-off concert in Sydney,” Australian producer Michael Cassel said.
Tickets for the Sydney concert go on sale this Thursday May 10, with pre-sale starting at 9am and general sale from 12pm. Information about the concert, including the pre-sale code sign up, can be found at darrencrissinaustralia.com.
