The Leftovers’ Carrie Coon Cast As Proxima Midnight In Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is so close that we’re prepping for our impending freak-outs. In about ten days (ten days!), the long-awaited film will hit theatres.

We’re all going to lose our minds. There’s no other way to accept it. Not even the actors know what’s going down in this film.

While the big battle will be between Thanos (Josh Brolin) and our heroes, we need to remember that Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Nebula’s (Karen Gillan) are also going to be involved. The dreaded Black Order are more than able to help their “father” in his quest for the Infinity Stones.

So far, fans only know who are playing two members of the Black Order. Terry Notary (Kong: Skull Island) will play Cull Obsidian and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (The Cured) will play Ebony Maw.

In an interview with Radio Times, directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed another actor in the group. Carrie Coon (The LeftoversThe Post) will also be in the film as Proxima Midnight.

Coon, presumably relieved to finally share the news, took to Twitter to confirm the casting.

Proxima Midnight, along with others members of the Black Order, debut in 2013’s New Avengers “Infinity” storyline. Out of the entirety of the Black Order, Proxima is arguably the most deadly.

Well…that never ends well. Anyone else getting real nervous about our faves?

Avengers: Infinity War hits theatres on April 27th.
