The Flash returns to our screens next week. It looks like Barry (Grant Gustin) and company will be in for a doozy of a time trying to find the last bus metas and figure out a way to best DeVoe.
No one, however, seems to be taking the hunt for DeVoe more personally than Harry Wells (Tom Cavanagh). The last episode, “Run, Iris, Run”, saw him built his very own Thinking Cap in order to try to best the Thinker. We do have to wonder, however, if that’s a good idea.
Cisco (Carlos Valdes) certainly doesn’t think so.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly‘s Spoiler Room, Valdes hinted that things may not turn out so great for Harry.
“The biggest secret weapon that Team Flash has at the moment is the Thinking Cap. “It seems to be the next logical step in taking down DeVoe is to match his intelligence. However, that situation starts to get complicated. Harry gets ahead of himself and some dark secrets come out that definitely complicate his relationship to the team, especially his relationship to Cisco.”
Cisco was already the most leery of Team Flash about using the Thinking Cap. While it makes sense to fight intellect with intellect, DeVoe did seem to lose some of his humanity when he got his intelligence. With each subsequent bus meta being absorbed into the body-hopping Thinker, it seems to drive him closer and closer to madness.
Needless to say, the race to the finale may not end well for Team Flash.
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on the CW.
