Here’s Why Captain America Is Sporting A Beard In Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is officially upon us. The fans of the MCU are quaking in their boots. Let’s be real, it’s going to be an intense two and and a half hours.

We all know it. We accept it.

One thing, however, fans have latched onto is the fact that our dear Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is sporting some seriously fine facial hair in the film. For real though, we all knew that Evans had a penchant for going bearded off-set. He looks damn fine while doing it.

There is, however, a reason for the beard.

Speaking to USA Today, Evans spilled the tea about the beard that’s making fans around the world scream.

“He’s such a monastic character and he has such a quotidian approach to his existence. I imagine when he wakes up in the morning, there is a routine. Part of that is in his nature, part of that is just to keep his sanity, and that all kind of goes out the window a little bit after (2016’s Captain America: Civil War). You see a guy who doesn’t stop caring but just puts down some of that obligation.”

God with every bit of info, Steve gets all the more tragic.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theatres April 27th.
