RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Recap: The Queens Are Shook When Handmaids To Kitty Girls Delivers The Ultimate Twist

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race Giphy

Well hello there my squirrelfriends, I am back again to try and put the events of this week’s episode into words after my kitty girl Erika has been left speechless! There is no doubt that fans have been left gagged by the way this week played out, and this episode will be one for the herstory books. This recap may be longer than usual so grab a cocktail and get comfy and we would love to know what you all thought about this week.

This week’s episode started with Chad Michaels and Alaska returning to the catwalk with all the eliminated queens who are returning this week for their ruvenge.

Back in the workroom, the remaining five Queens (BenDeLaCreme, Kennedy Davenport, Shangela, Trixie Mattel, and BeBe Zahara Benet) are told by Mama Ru that they will be performing in a girl group called the Kitty Girls, working with Adam Lambert and performing in front of Emma Bunton (Baby Spice). Then Ru drops the bombshell that there will be a second girl group – enter our eliminated Queens (Morgan McMichaels, Thorgy Thor, Milk, Chi Chi Devayne, and Aja). We all find out that at the end of the week one of the eliminated Queens will be back in the competition and that one of remaining Queens will be sent home. PLOT TWIST OR WHAT!

The drama kicks off in the workroom when all the Queens get together to air their grievances about choices of eliminations and this causes DeLa and Morgan to butt heads and as per usual Thorgy plays the victim; and Milk thinks she is wonderful (I am still super lactose intolerant).

Let’s get down to business – the eliminated Queens write and perform the song “Sitting on a Secret” and they have to ensure that each of their Kitty Girls has a moment to shine. There is no doubt that some Queens are singers and some are not!

Aja – Lil’ Banjee Kitty
Chi Chi – Cajun Kitty
Milk – Milky Kitty
Morgan – Bimbo Kitty
Thorgy – Cardio Kitty

Our OG All Stars are not without their own issues when recording their song “Drag up your Life”; mainly Trixie throwing shade at Adam Lambert and DeLa seeming like she is one wrong look away from breaking down.

BeBe – Jungle Kitty
BenDeLa – Goth Kitty
Kennedy – Diva Kitty
Shangela – Sparkle Kitty
Trixie – IQ Kitty

In the maxi challenge, the Top 5 Kitty Girls win the challenge with DeLa being the challenge winner and taking home a $1,000 gift card to Spa on Rodeo, and a $1,000 gift card from MuLondon. Bebe Zahara Benet and BenDeLaCreme are the top queens from the top five and will be left with the momentous task of choosing a returning queen and having to send one of their Top 5 sisters home.  In the workroom deliberation, Chi Chi tells DeLa and BeBe that she doesn’t want to come back to the workroom as still has a lot of work to do. DeLa seems really tormented about who she has to send home.

Best Performance: Dela won the judges over with her Goth Kitty.

Worst Performance: Milk! Seriously girl what was the outfit and aesthetic all about.

Top Two Queens: Bebe Zahara Benet and BenDeLaCreme.

Bottom Three Queens: Trixie Mattel, Kennedy Davenport, Shangela

Song for Lip Sync for Your Legacy: “Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here (Hex Hector Dance Mix)” by Deborah Cox

Winner of the Lip Sync: BenDeLaCreme

Returning Queen: Morgan McMichaels

Chante You Stay: Trixie Mattel, Kennedy Davenport, Shangela

Sashay Away: BenDeLaCreme!

What was DeLa playing at doing this!!! The rules aren’t there to be broken, and if she was that unhappy she should have done what Adore did last year and not change the rules of the lipsync. Her decision threw everyone including Ru and the judges and is the talk of social media as well. Who knows if this will the last we will see of BenDeLaCreme or will she return for the finale. Only a few weeks until we find out.  I am really happy that Morgan has been given another chance to show a new audience her talent.
