Deadpool was a pretty perfect movie. It was brutal, hilarious and, at times, surprisingly emotional. It smashed box-office records. It made audiences left. It certainly vindicated Ryan Reynolds, who had been trying for years to get the movie made.
Many people had their fingers crossed that the sequel will be just as good. There’s always the massive chance that it will just blow.
Sill the promotional things for the film have definitely assuaged our fears. With the latest trailer, giving some needed plot points, it looks like Deadpool 2 will probably surpass the first film.
Following the first movie, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) seems to be doing pretty well in life. He’s got his job. He’s got his friends. His relationship with his girlfriend, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), is going strong. Wade is still Wade, but yeah. Things seem to be going good.
Then Cable (Josh Brolin) appears who wants to kill a mutant kid (Julian Dennison). Presumably said kid will mess up the future pretty bad.
In order to stop it, Wade assembles his own team with the derivative name X-Force. It includes Domino (Zazie Beetz), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Bedlam (Terry Crews), Bill Skarsgard, and everyone’s fave taxi driver, Dopinder (Karan Soni).
Let’s just say that shit gets real, huh?
Needless to say, we’re super ready for May 18th.
