With only two weeks until Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race hits VH1, it is time to discover who will be joining the judging panel as guest judges. Earlier this week the first guest judge was announced with singer Christina Aguilera, and today we learnt who else would be joining RuPaul and the rest of the permanent judging panel.
The new judges are a real mix of singers and actors, but I am very excited that Broadway stars are amongst the roster of stars. Singers Shania Twain and Ashanti will be on the panel, with actors Billy Eichner, Nico Tortorella, Broad City duo Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer. Kinky Boots and Chicago star and previous judge Todrick Hall will be returning, and most excitingly for me, Tony-winning, and Olivier nominated legend Audra McDonald will be making her Drag Race debut, and joining her in the season will be Tony nominee Andrew Rannells. Rannells who is best known to many for his role as Elder Price in The Book of Mormon and his role in Girls on HBO, and he is returning to Broadway this summer in the revival of The Boys in the Band alongside his The New Normal co-star Matt Bomer.
Billboard reports that Rannell’s Girls co-star Lena Dunham will be appearing in the new season of the VH1 show, with Hole singer Courtney Love also joining the judging panels. It is also reported that American Horror Story star Cheyenne Jackson will be returning to the show for a special appearance, and late night talk show host Stephen Colbert will popping in to meet our new Queens.
Check out the new queens who will be competing to become the next Drag Superstar here, and check back tomorrow for our recap of the latest episode of All Stars 3.
RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 will premiere on March 22 on VH1
