RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Recap: The “All Stars Snatch Game” Delivers A Shocking Elimination

Hey Squirrelfriends! I’m back after taking a mental health break last week. Massive shoutout goes to Kirsty Wallace for dishing out all the deets while covering the recap duties. Chante, you slayed it, kitty gurl!

Thankfully, I am back for what is possibly one of my favorite episodes in every season of Drag RaceSnatch Game. Who could forget last season’s epic round with Alaska as Mae West and Katya as Bjork? Utter brilliance indeed.

Given that the All Stars from this season has not one but two former winners of past Snatch games in the ranks, you just knew this episode was going to be the one to watch. But before our queens became celebs, there was some workroom drama with Shangela and Trixie. Apparently Shangela discovered a note from Thorgy Thor that Trixie Mattel chose to hang in her workspace — one that read “F–k that shady bitch,” with an arrow pointing to Shangela’s name. Oops.

Trixie didn’t understand why Shangela was so upset (really, queen?) and pretty much set herself up for failure later on, given that this season’s queens are taking no prisoners and sending anyone who rubs them the wrong way home. Trixie ended up bombing the challenge along with several other queens as she tried to impersonate RuPaul and failed.

As for the other queens, here’s who played whom: Aja impersonated Crystal LaBeija, Bebe Zahara Benet as Grace Jones, BenDeLaCreme as Paul Lynde, Chi Chi DeVayne as Maya Angelou, Kennedy Davenport as Phaedra Parks, and Shangela as Jennifer Lewis.

That being said, here’s how the competition played out.

Best Performance: I expected nothing less but greatness from Dela and she delivered. I’m not one of those people who take issues with Drag Queens doing male drag, and I am so glad Dela took the risk.

Runner-Up Performance: Shangela as the incomparable Jennifer Lewis was perfection as well.

Worst Performance: Kennedy Davenport once again for me. Girl, what in the world was that? Phaedra Parks is hilarious. You were not.

Top Two Queens: Shangela and BenDeLaCreme once again!

Bottom Three Queens: Trixie Mattel, Kennedy Davenport, and Chi Chi DeVayne

Song for Lip Sync for Your Legacy: “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry

Winner of the Lip Sync: They both won!

Chante You Stay: Trixie Mattel and Kennedy Davenport aka the new Roxxy Andrews.

Sasha Away: Picked by both the winning queens, Chi Chi Devayne.
