Tina Fey Announces Broadway Mean Girls Tickets Are On Sale

Mean Girls is a necessary part of teen culture. Or, if you want an understanding of being a teen girl in the early 2000’s. The 2004 movie is still perfect from the casting to the story to the highly quotable lines. Needless to say, it’s not that surprising it got the musical treatment.

Unlike its counterculture counterpart Heathers, this one is going to Broadway. That’s right! Writer-producer-actor of the 2004 film, Tina Fey, dropped a video with two exciting announcements.

She also, apparently, entered the late 2010’s by finally getting GPS for her car. Good for you, Tina Fey.

You can buy the tickets at the show’s website.

Fey also wrote the book for the show. Casey Nicholaw (Aladdin, The Book of Mormon). Taylor Louderman, Ashley Park and Kate Rockwell star as Regina George, Gretchen Wieners and Karen Smith. Erika Henningsen stars as Cady Heron.

The show will be held at August Wilson Theatre. Previews will begin on March 12th and will officially open on April 8th.
