Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Sweeps The 2018 SAG Awards: Who Else Won Big?

The awards season train kept rolling right on with the 2018 Screen Actors Guild awards on Sunday night. The actors get to cast their vote when it comes to deciding the winners of this particular award, which makes it a favorite of many awards show enthusiasts.

An interesting thing to note, SAG is considered a reliable reflection of Oscar tastes, mainly because the guild also shares its members with those in the Academy.  SAG’s ensemble award also typically harmonizes with Oscar preference, with 11 of the guild’s victors also taking Oscar’s highest honor the same year. Over the years, an additional 10 winners (including last year’s Hidden Figures) received best picture nominations from the Academy, but did not win.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri dominated the film side by taking home three awards this year. On the tv side of things, This Is Us and Veep won big.
