One of the best things about a new year starting is when your favorite singers tell you that you’ll have new music to jam to this year. Last year, Ed Sheeran blessed the world with a new album and songs to add to their playlist. 2018 looks to be the year of Justin Timberlake.
Timberlake is already set to have one amazing year as he’s going to be the halftime entertainment for this year’s Superbowl. The singer is now adding to the excitement as he took to social media today to announce his upcoming new album and new single.

“This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I’ve written, where I’m from,” shared the award winning musician in the teaser clip which featured a country melody. The theme shouldn’t really be a surprise to his fans as the singer hails from the South and was born in Tennessee.
Jessica Biel, Timberlake’s wife, even chimes in during the short teaser. “It feels like mountains, trees, campfires, like wild west, like now,” the actress shares, to which Timberlake responds to in song by singing “I’ll put it all on a table.”
For those who may be worried that Timberlake’s longtime collaborator Pharell is not a part of this newest album, fret not. The producer does appear in the short clip and is involved in its production along with Timbaland, Max Martin, and others.
The singer in the past has teased that he would be returning to his country roots but not necessarily making a country album. “It sounds more like where I’ve come from than any other music I’ve ever made,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in February. “It’s Southern American music. But I want to make it sound modern — at least that’s the idea right now.”
Whatever his new sound may be, Timberlake definitely knows his audience, and we will be waiting with bated breath to hear his new song soon.
