DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Teases Constantine Arc In New Preview

John Constantine is a popular DC Comics character. Naturally when his solo TV series got cancelled in 2015 by NBC, fans were decidedly not too happy. A short stint in what could be considered the worst season of Arrow (magic simply does not have a place in Star City) didn’t help matters much.

It seems that the ruggedly handsome demon hunter has found a spot in yet another Arrowverse show. Matt Ryan reprised his character in the mid-season finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in December.

He paid the Legends a visit to remind Sara Lance that she owes him a favour for saving her soul a few years back. Whether Constantine is there to stay, or just to cause a little havoc, is unclear.

As the official synopsis for Legends’ mid-season premiere “Daddy Darhkest” teases, he will keep the heroes on their toes.

“After Sara’s (Caity Lotz) encounter with Mallus, the Legends are paid a visit by John Constantine (guest star Matt Ryan), a demonologist detective. The Legends agree to accompany him to a present-day psychiatric hospital and they are surprised to discover who Constantine is trying to help. During the exorcism, Sara, Leo (guest star Wentworth Miller) and Constantine go missing, leaving Ray (Brandon Routh) and Zari (Tala Ashe) to try to take care of Constantine’s client.”

One member in particular will spend some time with Constantine.  Dominic Purcell teased that Constantine will show some interested in Leo Snart. “Rory watching Citizen Cold and Trenchcoat flirt with one another was like too much for Rory, so he just f*cking got out of there”, he said during a set-visit.

Now we get our first look at what the heroes are up to when DC’s Legends returns in two short weeks. From the looks of it, it’s going to get dar(h)k. Constantine tends to be surrounded by demons and evil spirits, so expect a bit of terror and horror.

Take a look at the first brief teaser below:

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns February 12 at 8/9c on The CW.
