This year, the women attending the Golden Globes will all be wearing black. It’s in order to protest the culture of sexual harassment that has been pervasive in the industry for decades. Earlier this year, we saw actors, producers, agents, and directors all fall due to a series of scandals that started with Harvey Weinstein.
The women, however, will not be alone in this protest. The men attending this year’s ceremony will also don black in support for their female colleagues.
Stylist Ilaria Urbinanti confirmed that her clients, which include Dwayne Johnson, Garrett Hedlund, Tom Hiddleston, and nominee Armie Hammer, are all donning black.
She wrote in an Instagram post.

Because everyone keeps asking me… YES, the men WILL be standing in solidarity with women on this wearing-all-black movement to protest against gender inequality at this year’s Golden Globes. At least ALL MY GUYS will be. Safe to say this may not be the right time to choose to be the odd man out here… just sayin…
Johnson also confirmed by commenting “yes we will” on Urbinanti’s post.
The ceremony will air on January 7th with Seth Meyers hosting.
