Next year, the conception of love will be challenged by Every Day.
The adaptation of the 2012 David Levithan novel follows the story of Rhiannon (Angourie Rice) who follows in love with a spirit named A. Every day, A wakes up in a different body and stay in the body for 24 hours. They cannot spend more than 24 hours in the same body and cannot be in the same body twice. They can possess a body in the same area. A can be anyone who is their age: no matter gender, race, or creed.
A’s nomadic existence is interrupted when they take control of the body of Rhiannon’s boyfriend, Justin (Justice Smith) and fall in love with her. It details how Rhiannon falls in love with A, no matter the body that they inhabit.
I find the concept fascinating for the film in that the co-romantic lead is played by so many different people. It’s just such a good concept to see translated to a film.
The trailer? It looks like this movie will make me want to bawl my eyes out. I mean, the book definitely did so no surprise there.
Check out the trailer below.
The film comes out February 23rd, 2018.
