Allen: Son Of Hellcock Comic Trailer Is A Fantastical Parody That Shows The Generational Divide

I’m going to be real with you all for a moment. Fantasy parody is kind of my jam. I love hearing stories of Dungeon & Dragons campaigns that have gone off the rails. I love movies and books that poke fun at the conventions.

Hell, I even gave Son of Zorn a fair shot. I just like poking fun at a genre that can take itself so seriously at times.

Needless to say, based on the trailer for Allen: Son Of Hellcock, it looks like a comic that’s right up my alley.

Co-written by Last Week Tonight staffer (and former editor-in-chief of The Onion) Will Tracey and Viceland‘s Gabe Koplowitz with Miguel Porto providing art and Kendra Wells on colors, the book follows the millennial son of the most vicious barbarian warrior of all time. Not only is the generational divide between father and son present, but so are a slew of other problems from elves to urinating horse-donkeys.

It says a lot about my life that isn’t the weirdest thing I’ve ever wrote.

Why, they even got some good celebrity quotes.

Such as John Oliver saying, “Enjoy Allen: Son of Hellcock. I did. (Now please let me go.)”

The hardcover for Allen: Son of Hellcock will be in comic book stores on Wednesday. Bookstores will get it on November 14th.

Check out the trailer below.
