Droids Appear To Be Giving Ron Howard The Runaround On Han Solo Set

Ron Howard took over the directorship of the new Han Solo Star Wars spin-off in June after previous directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller left the project following creative differences.

Howard has been tweeting various odd images from the set, a Wookie, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Howard’s shoes….

Howard tweeted a couple of new behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the film yesterday, and although he has only been at the helm for a matter of weeks, it looks like the droids may already be ganging up on him.

The first post complained that the droids weren’t listening to the director –

Later he tweeted a photo of an astromech droid, saying they would carry on until things came out right –

Maybe he shouldn’t have removed their restraining bolts….

So far nothing has been heard about the film’s title if it even has one yet.

The currently untitled project stars Alden Ehrenreich (Beautiful Creatures) as the smuggler Han Solo, alongside Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson (War For The Planet Of The Apes) also stars as mysterious mentor Beckett, and Emilia Clarke (Game Of Thrones) and Thandie Newton (Westworld) will also be starring in currently unknown roles.

The Han Solo film is currently scheduled for release in May 2018.
