Olicity fans, this one is for you!
Have you been wondering, why Oliver and Felicity never really discussed their failed relationship since their unfortunate breakup last season? Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim promises that an upcoming episode of Arrow will answer all your questions – well, at least some of them.
In season four, Oliver learned that he was the father of a ten-year-old boy, and then kept this big secret from his bride-to-be. She found out but he still decided to keep her out of the loop. It didn’t end well.
Guggenheim talked to TVLine about how they wanted to “deal with the consequences of Episode 415 [when] Oliver and Felicity ended their engagement and broke up”. To be fair, an in-depth discussion of where they stand with each other is long overdue, and should have happened by the end of season four already. But rather late than never, right?
This exploration of Olicity’s relationship status will be done in episode #5.20, titled “Underneath”. “It comes out of the events of 519 [titled ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ aka ‘Team Arrow vs. Team Felicity’] and, quite frankly, all the other episodes that led up to it. Something happens in 519 [airing Wednesday, April 26] that really tees up this conversation.”
What we know about #5.19, we know from the first promo released. Felicity will have to make a choice regarding Helix, and Oliver might be the one to force her to. Evidently, their scenes seem tense and even, dare we say, heated. What will that lead to?
Well, there’s a few teases as to what’s to come. And they come from the man himself, Stephen Amell. He tweeted that there will be an upcoming episode of Arrow, where he shares every scene with the same actor. 100 bucks says that’s Emily Bett Rickards.
He also tweeted a picture of himself in the “sleeveless” Green Arrow suit that we all know Oliver donned back in season four. Does this mean we can expect a flashback scene? Maybe to a moment last year where they talked about the end of their relationship like normal people would?

Arrow fans, how do you feel about “Underneath”? Are you looking forward to some clarity on Olicity’s relationship (especially after the failed attempt at giving Oliver another romantic partner? Do you think Oliver and Felicity are able to work through their problems? And will it be for better or worse?
