I didn’t even know that Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson were even going to be in a movie together. So learning about The Hitman’s Bodyguard was literally a bolt from the blue.
Although seeing the trailer for it made my day because it was the best thing ever. It’s honestly probably the closest we will ever see a Deadpool-MCU crossover, but I will take it.
In the film, Reynolds plays a protection agent that has to protect the life of his moral enemy, Jackson’s assassin. The duo has to play keep away from a merciless dictator played by Gary Oldman on a journey from England to the Hague.
Shenanigans, unsurprisingly, ensue.
Along with cursing. Just so much cursing.
Also Whitney Houston. (Are we sure this isn’t a Deadpool/Avengers movie and no one told us?)
The film was directed by Patrick Hughes. It will also feature the acting talents of Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung, Joaquim De Almeida, Kirsty Mitchell, and Richard E. Grant.
Check out the trailer below.
