It’s here finally!
After being teased heavily on Monday, Marvel Studios dropped the highly anticipated second official trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, and boy, was it a doozy!
Everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, has his work cut out for him in his first feature film for Marvel Studios (remember, up until Captain America: Civil War, the character belonged to Sony Pictures). As it was highly hoped, in the new trailer, we got a lot of Spidey vs Vulture (played by Michael Keaton) action plus an even closer look at the Spiderbot (which totally rocks by the way, and just landed itself on the Christmas list).
Also featured in the trailer was Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark aka Iron Man, and if the trailer’s anything to judge by, things are not going very well in that budding mentorship of sorts between Peter Parker and Mr. Stark. That being said, Tony does hook the boy from Queens up with a new suit and then some, which is also revealed in the trailer.
Check out the new trailer below!
As far as trailers go, this one delivered so much more than expected, even a surprising cameo from Captain America (did you catch it?).
The upcoming film, in case you didn’t know, will be the second reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise, the sixteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is directed by Jon Watts.
Joining Holland, Downey Jr., and Keaton as part of the cast are Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt Mae.
Mark your calendars as Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit theaters internationally on July 6, while the US will be getting it a day later on July 7.
