Legion, if you’re not paying attention, has been doing amazingly well.
Is it the dark and twisty story? Is it the stunning visuals? Is it the amazing cast? Is it all of the above? The answer is all of the above.
The story of David Haller (Dan Stevens) has been insanely compelling since it started airing last month. It’s garnered rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
More importantly, it seems poised to get an Emmy nomination. Because c’mon Emmys. Stop leaving superhero properties in the cold!
(Am I still angry for no love for Jessica Jones and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher? Yes.)
So with all of that acclaim and love, it’s unsurprising that the show has scored a season two renewal at FX.
Eric Schrier, President of Original Programming at FX, had this to say of Legion.
“The first season of Legion was a stunning achievement. More than a new series, Legion is a wholly original take on the super hero genre. Our thanks to Noah Hawley for taking the creative risks and shattering expectations. It’s a privilege to work again with Noah, his producing partners, the outstanding cast and our partners at Marvel Television on another season of Legion.”
No word on how many episodes season two will have. Season one will finish its run on March 29th.
