What’s going on in Disney’s Star Wars universe right now? Well, we’ve got the Han Solo prequel going into production, and also the imminent release of Rogue One , the first ‘Anthology’ spin-off, on DVD, digital and Blu-ray.

Actor Alan Tudyk, who played Rogue One’s sarcastic robot K-2SO, chatted to Uproxx about his character and how much he hopes there’s still a future for the mouthy droid with all the best lines.

Freed from worry about revealing spoilers, Tudyk admitted that although “everyone just totally dies” in his movie, he still hopes to be able to reprise his role in the new Han Solo spin-off, which is set before the events of Rogue One.

“I would like it.” Tudyk said. “I don’t think it’s possible, because I think they’re done with the Han Solo one, aren’t they?”

After the interviewer explained that the movie is only just underway, Tudyk became more enthusiastic, but if they’re doing origin stories, couldn’t K-S20 just get his own movie?

“I want a Cassian [Andor] and K-2 movie where we see who they were beforehand,” Tudyk said. “And see the story of Cassian finding K-2 and who was K-2 back when he was in the Empire and all of that. So there’s a lot of stories. Now that they’re telling these different stories, there’s a lot of opportunities to branch out. I’m pushing for that one! That one sounds good.”

Get ready to re-watch those fantastic Darth Vader scenes again as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits digital platforms on March 24 and Blu-ray and DVD on April 4.

Meanwhile, Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently in production for a 2018 release.
