Oscars 2017: La La Land and Moonlight Win Big On Hollywood’s Golden Night

It’s finally here, one of our favourite nights of the year:Oscar night!  We have been patiently waiting for Hollywood’s biggest night to arrive: the 89th Academy Awards.

The Oscars are part of the biggest night in Hollywood. The parties are epic and not to mention, it’s quite the privilege to win one of those golden guys.

Jimmy Kimmel hosted the kudocast that featured musical performances from Justin Timberlake, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and more.

From West Coast, the winners for all 24 categories were announced. The Oscars this year underwent a drastic change from last year’s event as the Academy was called out for its lack of diversity with the nominees in 2016, something the Academy has spent the last year addressing  and definitely made some changes and strides to become more diversified.

That being said, did the Academy go gaga for La Land? Did Moonlight sweep? Was this Viola Davis’s year?
