The Final Season Of Bones Inspires Complex Feelings For Billy Eichner

As many people who pay even a cursory glance at TV knows, Bones is ending after 12 seasons.

The procedural, which starred Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, has recently had its final premiere episode. Much like NCIS and Supernatural, it seemed like one of those shows that was never really going to end. Much like how we spent (nearly) seven seasons doing the will they-won’t they for Booth and Brennan.

(If I ever do a TV show, the main couple is getting together by the end of season one at the latest. Will they won’t they is getting very annoying.)

Naturally to commemorate this sad occasion, Billy Eichner took to the streets of NYC to get regular people’s reaction to this show ending.

God bless you, Billy on the Street.

The reactions ranged from ‘what the hell is Bones’ to ‘I’m sad that it’s going away’ to a confusion over Boreanaz’s career trajectory. It’s pretty much what you would expect.

Billy, himself, seems to have a lot of complex feelings over the show ending as well.

Bones final season is on Tuesdays at 9pm EST on Fox.
